Day 299… Kruger National Park
Ok… game on! Its up at 4am to explore one of the largest game reserves in Southern Africa, Kruger National Park. It is home to over 500 bird species, 100 species of reptile and 150 mammal species, including the Big Five (rhino, elephant, hippo, giraffe and lion) and the endangered African wild dog.
My wildlife experience begins as soon as i enter the park, heading into prime game viewing areas where i catch a glimpse of some of the amazing animals found inside the park, including most of the Big Five. I enjoy breakfast at one of the picnic spots before continuing through the park in my own essentially private safari truck and personal guide. My entire day is spent game viewing, bird watching and stopping off at the various waterholes en route. Then at the end  i depart the park in the late afternoon and return to the lodge for an evening of relaxation and swimming in the pool.
ANIMALS SPOTTED: lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos, jackals, African wild dogs, vultures, eagles, storks, impalas, gnu, opaki deer, zebras, hornbills, ostriches, warthogs, a scorpion and as black mamba snake.
